About Us

Some poor eye health is caused by genes or ageing, but it is also driven by inequality. Women, older people, those with disabilities, indigenous peoples, refugees, and migrants are among those most affected.

ANZEF’s Focus

ANZEF is driven by the desire to provide access to excellent eye care for everyone. As an integral part of the College, ANZEF is uniquely placed to draw from RANZCO members’ expertise in ophthalmology education and standard setting, by investing in three main action areas:

Our People

ANZEF is overseen by a senior advisory committee which reports to the RANZCO Board.

The ANZEF Committee is responsible for providing direction and ensuring implementation of ANZEF’s strategic objectives. To help achieve its aims the ANZEF Committee is supported by a Program Selection and Grants Sub-Committee and an Advisory Group.
